F1b Standard Labradoodle

25% Labrador and 75% Standard Poodle

"When you 'mix' breeds, they do not pass their genes on evenly. The genes don't know they came from Lab or came from Poodle when they sort out into the sex cells, it happens randomly. A dog that is 50/50 Lab poodle will NOT have 50% Lab and 50% Poodle in every one of it's sex cells.....each cell will be a different proportion (some 10/90, some 30/70, some 60/40, etc).

Only with an F1 can you say for sure you know (50/50). EVERY other breeding after that the genes sort out in an unknown way, and you cannot know the percentage of poodle. An F1B is not always 75% poodle. It MAY be, or it may not be, depending on the dog. If you added up the percentages of ALL the F1B, the population will be 75% poodle. But any individual dog may not be."

Annie, as an adult, weighs 28 lbs. and has a curly, fleece coat. She gave birth to 16 puppies recently!!!
